W. Fred Thal, DDS
Dr. Thal graduated from Washington University School Of Dental Medicine in St. Louis in 1973. From 1973 to 1975, he worked and lived in London, England, as a house officer in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. In 1977, Dr. Thal completed the Pediatric Dentistry Residency program at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
Since 1977, Dr. Thal has been in private practice in New Britain. In October 1986, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is currently on the staff of the Hospital of Central Connecticut and served on the Board of Governors of the Connecticut State Dental Association from 2006 to 2009.
Dr. Thal is married and has two children.
Eddie Rostenberg, DMD
Dr. Rostenberg earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Intercontinental University in his native Mexico City in 1983. He then worked in private practice for two years before coming to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he completed the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program in 1987. He then did a Fellowship that included research and special care for disabled children.
From 1989 to 1990, Dr. Rostenberg attended the University of Kentucky School of Dental Medicine from which he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). He is on the staff of the Hospital of Central Connecticut.
“Dr. Eddie” is a devoted soccer player. He is married and has two children.
Nidhi Taneja, DMD
Dr. Nidhi Taneja is a pediatric dentist who graduated from University of Connecticut with a Masters degree in Dental Sciences. She went to University of California Los Angeles for a Doctorate in Dental Surgery, and graduated with honors in special patient care rotation, preventive dentistry and others. She was also a Paul Ambrose Scholar and an Albert Sweitzer Fellow in Los Angeles.
Dr. Nidhi worked as a general dentist in New Mexico before starting her residency. Her research interests are in Special Needs Dentistry and Behavior Management. Dr. Nidhi takes keen interest in working with children with autism and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
She is actively involved in organized dentistry and was awarded with the Resident’s Recognition Award by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry during her time in residency. Dr. Nidhi anticipates treating children with developmental and related disabilities throughout her professional career. In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, cooking and volunteering for dental community camps.
Ritu Mohan, BDS, DDS
Dr. Ritu Mohan graduated as an Advanced Placement student from NYU College of Dentistry with honors and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (National dental Honor Society). While at NYU, she received ‘Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award’ for demonstrating superior performance in providing oral comprehensive care.
Dr. Mohan did 2 years of specialized training as a pediatric dentist at UConn School of Dental Medicine with extensive clinical training, followed by an additional year of advance fellowship. Upon graduation, she was awarded a ‘Master of Dental Surgery’ degree.
Dr. Mohan is a member of AAPD, ADA and board eligible with ABPD. She is always taking Continuing Education courses to excel in her field and stay current with latest treatment modalities.
In her spare time, Dr. Mohan likes to spend time with her twin daughters and husband.She also enjoys cooking and watching movies.
